AH has always been touchy with ZoneAlarm firewall program (primarily enabling after patch update).

Latest patch (#2) runs at very low framerate with ZoneAlarm running.  Back to normal when shut down the firewall.  Did not have this problem with previous versions of AH (including betas).  Downloaded latest version of ZoneAlarm, but did not help.

Anyone else having this problem?

I've had to shut ZA off since the patch.

Any news on this?

I didn't have any issues actually running Aces with ZA running, my only issues appeared every time there was a new AH release.
Well, there are other FREE firewalls on the web to try.
I am currently using TINY take a look if you would like an alternative to ZA.

Win98Se
AH 1.08
ZA Pro

No problems at all with any version of AH.
I suggest the problem is with your setup not ZA or AH.

Thanks for the comments...as it happens, the problem miraculously fixed itself.  Viva Windows based computers!

My locked up too when I entered AH after the update.  When I went into the program menu in ZA the AH entry changed from check marks to question marks.  Think the new AH executable prompts you to give access again?
