So let me get this straight...

If you quote someone, it is exactly the same as saying it yoursef? And... since you know Maher's mind so well, you are also saying that he brought up the quote, then went to a completely different segment, and then 20 minutes later after it was brought up again by a conservative panelist, discussed it again. Because he set it up that way.

right.

Eloquent response.

I'd say, based on your tantrum, I was spot on.

Hi, Culero.

Lazs,  I am surprised to learn you don't have a BS degree.   Despite your admission, I don't find you the least bit BS-deficient.  Hope you are having a good day.

LEADPIG.    You've got guts, kid.    And you're wise beyond your years.   Don't let it make you cynical.

No problem, I don't watch Grey's Anatomy myself. I usually watch the cartoon network. But anyway, at some award ceremony, one of the cast of that edgy, politically correct show made a snide remark about "studmuffingots" or "studmuffins." Everyone in Hollywood was in a tizzy because the show is supposed to be a stellar example of Utopia. It been featured on Oprah TWICE! To have such scandal wouldn't do - but how can such a remark be rectified? Rehab. For what I have no idea, but ship the guy off to rehab and debrief him. It revealed the strategic value of rehab for the Utopian types.

So when a basketball player made a remark about hating homosexuals, it was wondered in the forum if he also would be sent to rehab to be debriefed. And Coulter was alluding to the same thing- if she used a mean term she would be shipped off to rehab to be debriefed or deprogrammed. That was the point of the quip.  And now you're up to speed and the roadrunner awaits:D

I've never made any remarks about how she looks, just pointed out that it is ironic that she is a member of an organization that is also the Spanish slang word for a Stupid Girl.  It's rather fitting.

also, just because someone is educated, doesn't mean they are smart.   She's a very good example.

So, just because I find both Limbaugh and Coulter complete and total idiots that spew nothing but garbage every time they open their mouth paints me as a liberal male?

Kind of sad isn't it? You don't want a hypocritical drug addicted actor or a hateful, headline seeking ***** representing your views, and that makes you a BAD BAD Liberal.

In my eye it just means you have standards.

If your intent is to deliver exactly the same message without having to take the blame... yes. I could say in the course of an argument with you that I remember someone calling you a **** eater. Not that I would be doing that myself, you see, I'm just quoting someone else. I think you understand what I'm saying very well.

I never claimed to "know his mind so well"... I am however quite well versed in the english language and how it can be used as a weapon, something Bill Maher is quite adept at doing.

Have you ever watched Bill Maher? He is one of the most caustic and sensationalistic talk show hosts ever. He is also a comedien who made his chops in political humor. Yes, I believe he knew exactly what he was doing.

Ann Coulter, Howard Stern, Larry King, Rush Limbaugh, and Art Bell all have one thing in common. They're self promoters. Their shtick is their personality. The stories they use are nothing but tools to promote THEMSELVES. As PT Barnum said, "every crowd has a silver lining."

I find it amusing when conservatives discuss politics and liberal rebut by discussing entertainers.

Well, a couple of interesting tidbits in the thread...

Suggesting Rush Limbaugh is the voice of conservatives is like saying... I dunno... Jerry Springer is the voice of liberals. And why go there? I mean, honestly, GWB is the head of the right. Truth is worse than fiction.

...then again, Howard Dean is the head of the DNC. Ouch.

Conservatives and liberals alike who are against the out-of-control PC environment chuckled at Ann Coulter's comment, like her or not, because it was funny in the context it was intended.

Many liberals laughed at the Cheaney/bomb comment because they really wish he was dead. Admit it libs, you did chuckle when you heard it.

SO... 'splain to me again about those mean ol' heartless conservatives... who say such nasty things... who are so full of venom...

Well I contend that Maher (who's show I have seen and enjoyed) brought up the subject to point out the lack of integrity when it comes to free speech in a LIBERAL blog. Cheney may have been the subject, but he wasn't the point.

Yes, but he managed to say something on air that shouldn't have been said on air, agreed? And you really believe that is totally accidental?

Listen, I don't think he's the voice of the party or anything, he's just entertainment. The point is a conservative would have been fried for doing the same thing, and I think you know that. Liberals have the "sensitivity" thing all locked up, and they don't share.

I agree 100% and would be first to suggest Noel Sheppard needs a vacation. To twist that exchange into something threatening was absolutely ridiculous (and whiny). If I didn't see NB above the blog, I'd swear it was the work of often offended liberal. TAKE A VACATION NOEL!
