You all should also consider that this may be the "base" for things to come.

You don't re-build a house without first breaking it back down to it's basics.

Some do no matter what, many others are trying to be helpful in providing feedback. I don't mean to take away from what was done. I think they are moving the product in the right direction. What I'm saying is something aint quite right in the color choices and that takes away from the gains.

I must agree that the ground is way too dark, and the ground textures are too uniform.

my gamma is set at 1.2

my detail and distance sliders are max left

the game has never been so smooth. I like the shadow under the trees now and the way the details draw themselves in and out when you hit your distance range. much better than before.
