Doc's Current modem and networking settings
Fifo buffers are set to minimum. (important for stability; lose a bit of data on topend speeds but well worth it.)
Registry Dun settings have been optimized for dialup.(important)
Bindings for dialup adapter have been set for tcp/ip only.(important)
Error control is on.
Software compression is off.(don't waste time compressing)
Flow control set by hardware.(important)
make shure that Ipx and netbui are unchecked in dun settings; only have tcp/ip
thats it for now off the top of my head...
as far as cable, DSL everbody has a different carrier contact your local carrier for info.
Aol's, att's, computrash, and other large ISP's are usually the worst for connections...
