Kudos to the player.

Biotch slap to the father and other idiots that thought it was ok to have little kids along the sidelines during a game.
The kid didnt belong there.

C'mon dred.  Like your father never put you in a slightly or more dangerous situation as a kid.  Or you never put your kids in a similar situation.

Had this not happened, the kid would have been talking about his time spent on the endzone during a college game for years.  And he would have loved it.

My father didn't, and I won't do it to my 5 year old son.

I agree Dred <>

My dad never did anything remotely dangerous with me. If anything he was overly cautious because I was the only boy in a passle of girls.

Maybe if you had ten or twelve of them you'd be less likely to try to keep them safe?

This is far from the truth.   However, IF my old man would have taken me to the sidelines of a football game in my youth, he'd have been in between the field and myself.

did you're father dangle you in front of alligators? or make you run onto a football field when a game is going on? I wouldn't say people had boring parents, i'd say they had safe or cautious parents.
