Probably a stupid question but, I'll ask ?
« on: May 07, 2007, 12:53:02 PM »
Is there some way to download film viewer without downloading the whole game? I read the forum mostly on my laptop but play on my PC. Laptop really isn't capable of handling the game for play. Would be great to be able to check out films from laptop without using up extra space needed for whole game. Any way to do this? Appreciate any help.

Thats a negative to my knowledge. If your laptop can't play the game, I seriously doubt it will run the film viewer.

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

Film viewer takes a lot less resources to play back films than the game does to run it in the first place

However, I don't know if a low-end system would be able to, if it can't run the game in the first place.

However, to answer the first part of the question, no you can't separate the film viewer from the game. The viewer uses the files from the game itself.

I wondered about this also. Thanks for clearing it up guys. I read the BBS at work during lunch and wanted to be able to view the films.

I won't download the game on my work computer for obvious reasons:rofl

Thanks guys,
Laptop's video drivers don't support Z-Buffering, whatever that is, so the game doesn't run. Appreciate the help though.
