I haven't made a post in awhile but felt inspired to send a big <> out to those folks who run supplies in game. Furballing is easy. Toolshedding requires a little more patience. But good GOD, running supplies is the most thankless but needed job in the game as far as winning a war is concerned. So heres to you "Mr. I'll bring supplies to that field we just porked the hell out of and now own", without you, I'd be waiting a lot longer to go furballing.

People only run supplies out of the selfish reasons either to get perks so they can spawn camp in tigers, or to get the ord up so they can grief furballers by killing FH's.

I use to be the CO of the 434th TCG. All we did was run supplies. This was back in AH1 when base captures was important. If you saw 15-20 goons flying into a base it was us. On a normal hop we would carry troops, GV supplies and AF supplies. We could take the base, resupply the GVers on the ground already and  resupply the field. All in one shot.

Back then you could re-arm the goons with more troops and AF cargo so we would hit the hot pad and be about five mins behind the strike package. A lot of times the airspace was still hot. This normaly gave me a large number of deaths, but it worked out. My first tour with the squad I died 111 times in a C-47 and landed 10 proxies.

After that tour we perfected our system. We were all pretty much still new to the game, we learned the ends and outs and the next tour I only died 13 times in the C-47 and six AFCs. This may seem like a small number but most of the time I ended up holding GV supplies so I could always stay ahead of my guys. I miss that flying. Good times when you would find an enemy goon parked somewhere and come back in to ram him. I did that a few times.

It was very fun hiding a goon somewhere close to a base under heavy attack and hoping you're not spotted. Don't really see that anymore.

I wouldn't say you never see it. As a matter of fact, I have both seen it and been the goon many times lately.

There is a REAL thrill in, like you guys said, being right near the NME town during a serious fight and waiting and hoping for your chance to let the drunks run!

I have over 12,000 GV perks.  While I am sure there are many folks who have more, it is certainly enough to take up a Tiger when I need to.  When I run supplies it isn't for the perks.  I run them to get radar or troops up sooner.  If a base/town is being hit by GVs and the Ord is down I may run supplies for that.

There are many ways to play and enjoy this game.  Unless it is cheating (cable pulling etc.) one way is as good as the other.
Always try and be the person your dog thinks you are.

I'll often run supplys when I first log on and for a last run before logging off. When I first log on I will use that first resupply run to check out my system for vox related issues, calibration and for getting a feel of the progress of the war.

Plus it's a fun diversion from pretending I'm a pilot like Bong, Yager. <  the real guy > or any number of famous pilots. Running supplys in an M3 and using the little hills as jump ramps is fun especialy if you're in a race to get to the base first....after all, AH IS ment to be fun, right?

Perks? Glory? Toolshed enablers? Nope, just having fun.

Hey I do it because I'm on the ground and someone has called for them. I look at it like calling enmy planes and Chk 6 calls. I thought i/we/ were supposed to be helping your side to win. I'll even try it while enmy planes are over the base. It's a challeng to see if I can get them there by sneaking in low or evasive mauvers.
