When Blackout attacked the US base in Qatar I was smiling from ear to ear! And when Barricade and Bumblebee had their first car chase the movie had already made it for me. I’ll definitively see it again and buy the DVD!

My girlfriend and I took the kids to see it Saturday night.

The kids (5 and 9) loved it.

I think the whole 'Mom and Dad' scene in the kids bedroom could've done without the whole sex-talk bit.  Thankfully the humor of 4 enormous robots trying to hide out of sight of the parents distracted them.

The effects were outstanding.  The highway battle between Optimus and that huge battle-tank thing was amazing.

I wonder if Marvel is doing comics based on these new robots?

There were two prequel comics, and a comic adaptation of the film. I don't know if they were by Marvel, tho.

I SO want to see Prowl added to the Autobots lineup in Transformers 2 (he was originally planned for this one, but was replaced with Barricade because the producers liked the idea of an EVIL cop car) so we can have a Good Cop/Bad Cop Black-and-White Battle Royale! Anybody know Michael Bay's e-mail address? This is TOO GOOD an idea not to pass along!
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I think Robotech: Macross Saga (another 80's anime that was popular in the US) would make a good live action... that's if Hollywood exerts 110% and if Michael Bay directs the movie:)

The first 45 minutes, I thought "Hey, just maybe Michael Bay won't **** everything up this time", and then... 20 minutes of giant robots hiding from two suburban parents. The plot took a nosedive after that.

Damn shame. It was still a fun summer movie.

I saw it tonight.

It was ok up till the point where the kid was looking for the glasses in his room and all the trannies were outside. Yuck.

I almost had a seizure during the end fights.

   Overall..I didnt like it.

Saw Live free or die hard the night before last. It was better but they too seem to think you have to go over the top with computer special effects to make a good movie. The bit with Bruce riding the jet. I sank in my seat.

:rofl :rofl  I agree that part of the movie was a bit akward but I think they relieved it well with the Parental comedy.  I felt like the Jon Tutorro spiel was too forced and out of place...the Transformers could have easily prevented them from being taken without hurting the humans.

Hey, it's a kids movie adaption of a kids animated series. Its supposed to be a bit childish and akward, but of course it could have been done better. My only gripe was that the movements were too fast and thus it was a bit difficult to follow the action at times.
