Who is excited about the Transformers Movie coming out.

I am 30 and grew up with watching them on tv after school and having some of the toys.

I think Micheal Bay and Steven Spielberg will make it a good movie.   Something entertaining.

What about you guys?

I heard MegaTron is a B2 bomber instead of a hand gun.  (sorry just read he is an alien ship)

Starscream will be a F22 instead of a F15

Bubblebee will be the yellow camero instead of a VW bug (VW would not let them us it in the movie)

Looks like Hollywood's new idea is to adopt anime based shows then make a movie out of it:noid

Don't be surprised when you see a Speed Racer movie trailer soon.

like the idea..looks like a interesting movie...just wish they kept them lookin little more like the older transformers instead of the newer less popular versions....i can understanding updating them abit..but to completely change what the changed into kinda sucks a bit...they turned bumble bee into a camaro..lmao!! does the name bumble bee even fit a camaro ss at all?..lol..atleast they could of made him after a newer vw..hehe and is starsceem even a jet anymore?<~~i still have him and his original box..lol

im going to go watch it and see what they did...im sure ill like it anyways:) im just stuck on my childhood versions.. the ones i grew up with was such a huge craze...i remmeber it was like cabbage patch kids..parents were fighting over them in the stores during christmas...lol.you sure dont see that happening with the new ones.lol

VW did not give permission to use the bug in the movie so they had to come up with a new vehicle.  GM wanted them to use the new Camaro (being released next year as a promo for it), but instead they used a 1979.

Starscream is a F/a-22 not the F-15

I'm...  cautiously optimistic.  I just read the "prequel" by Alan Dean Foster, master of the mediocre when it comes to novelizations.  (For a good novelization, check out Orson Scott Card's version of The Abyss)

The back story is pretty much intact, there are a couple of characters that have been switched around a bit (I believe Megatron is in Starscream's predicament, etc) and there are some parts that I think will be reminiscent of Area 51 in Independence Day (were they able to get Brent Spiner?), but there's a chance it could be a good flick.

My least favorite part of the trailer, other than the ubiquitous "Fade to black at the end of each cut for drama", is the one guy yelling "BRING IT!".  Really?  That's the best line for the situation?  I have a difficult time believing that.

I'll be there, though.  I'm not quite to the point of buying the voice-changing helmet yet (http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/transformers-toys/optimus-prime-voice+changing-helmet-and-battle-blaster-review-271177.php) but I'll be buying some of the movie tie-in toys for the kids.

My 5 year old solemnly requested last month that as one of our projects we build a Power Wheels vehicle that can transform into a robot, so the seed is planted.  Kids are great, those minds are always working.  They are definitely more than meets the eye.

actually he eventually is a 5th gen camaro by the end. Jazz is a Solstice instead of a 911 and Ironhide is a huge arse gmc truck instead of a minivan, i think that is one of the changes i see no problem with.

it's his movie and i have no problem with the changes and his own plot.

and megatron and starscream have the same roles in the movie they did in the cartoon chairboy.

think i've read to much about this movie.

My mistake, then, in the foggy reaches of my memory I confused Skyfire with Starscream.

Good news!  That's why I included a link to his article on Wikipedia in my post above.  (Skyfire=Jetfire)

Well, its got Spielberg's money in it, so Im hopeful that they try to remain true to the comic book.

I wonder if they'll ever port GI Joe over into a live-action movie?
