My first sim was in commodore 64, F4 (fandom).
Next in history was Amiga 500 the legend.
Aces of the Sky (wwi), their finest hour, battle of britain, red baron, F-15,
and many other sims. ( Amiga was my golden era of sims ).

And then i met AW. Online dogfights with other crazies like me ?
Human vs Human ? I could not believe it.

It was 1993 in a greek bbs (compulink.gr) with amiga 500 and mouse.
AW was 1 diskette and just solid frames, no skins.

40 players @ saturdays.

Mountains was just triangles.

Game play was amazing even then.

Modem was a big aluminum brick @ 1200 bauds. But 1200 was more than enough, then

Then AW dos in pc and awii until 1997.

I was the last who was flying in this bbs for 1-2 months waiting someone
to come.

Then i met AH @ march 2002. Tour 26, id Hades55.

Joined GEnie mid 94...tried AW, but really got hooked on Mechwarrior. Finally got serious in AW late 95, and played until 2000-2001ish (when did AW die?? ), then made the move to AH. Have been here ever since.

If this goes back to when you actually started flight sims, then it would be MS Flight Simulator on an Apple IIe

LOL same flight sim on an Apple II+

The dogfight game was nothing but headons. There was no way to get on the guys tail

Started playing WB's offline sometime in '98, and after about a 1000 hour of offline play signed up for online play in late '99 or early 2000.

Flew as "Elvene" at first, but changed to "-Ghost" after about a year or so - everyone seemed to assume that "Elvene" was "Evelyn" and guys would apologize for shooting me down.

And then when "Eleven" started flying even I was getting confused. I'd see a kill message in the buffer and think "Wait - I never even heard a ping!"

Air warror 3 BEFOR AOL charged by the hour, then on gamestorm when aol got rid of it. played for about 2 years.

after about 8 year break being into first person shooters and stratagy, im back in Aces high 2 been here for 7 tours

Started AH back in early Beta, missed the first month of pay for play. But then moved the squad over from WB. Took a little break last year this time but my account never got canceled.
