I am looking to buy a gaming PC in the very near future so that I can get back into AH after a long absence. I don't want to build my own. My budget is $2000. I want a machine that will run AH reasonably well and be upgradable down the line. I've been researching this online for awhile and have narrowed my PC choice to either a Velocity or Cyberpower PC.
Both have good websites, reviews, articles, etc. and seem to offer a good product. Velocity seems to be a more user friendly website with enough options but not too many to be intimidating to a non-expert like me. They also claim to benchtest each PC extensively and build machines that can be easily upgraded down the line. The Velocity website feels more "businesslike" to me and my impression is they produce a good product. The Cyberpower website is much more flashy with many more options. Also, while most of their customer testimonials were positive, there were more then a few negative reviews. Obviously this scares me a little. However, a similar PC from Cyberpower will cost 20-25% less than a Velocity PC.
My ultimate goal is to buy a solid PC that will run AH, but I'm not adverse to saving some money on it as well. Problem is my gut tells me Velocity is a better PC.
Any experiences, thoughts, advice or input on either of these PC makers and/or their products would be welcomed and much appreciated. Even though a 20-25% cost savings is significant, I don't want to make the wrong choice.
Thanks!
