Well, here you must have two different circuits at the counters that are gfci protected. They changed it because of all the different appliances people have now. And even if you do daisy chain the other recepts, they must be labeled(that's why they give you those stickers)

Now you could run a gfci breaker at the panel for each circuit, but where those circuits are usually tripped alot, it would be a pain to run down to the basement every time you trip it.

Thanks, we both love to cook. I just ordered the wife a 16 piece Calphalon cook set, really top quality stuff, and a Nickel pot and pot rack to hang them on, for her Xmas present (we can both enjoy them!) . :aok

Love the Kitchen Rip! However, your old kitchen is a 100 times better than my current one. Was hard for me to figure out why you remodeled. Still though sure appreciate the good job they did.

I have got to post the before and after pictures of my Bathroom. It is an amazing difference. The remodeler I hired is the best I had ever seen. When I told him what I was hoping to do you could tell by his enthusiasm that it became his dream too.

Kitchen is next for me. That will have to wait. I'm not borrowing a dime for it.

I was fine with the old kitchen too, trust me. ;)  But estrogen is a chemical imbalance, where testosterone is a static chemical. :D

The job was started last August and there is STILL some small items we are trying to get finnished.

My office reno is almost done though....just hiding wires and waiting for a credenza to be delivered and my case for HMS Victory to arrive and I'm done there.

I like your choice of colors and material more then on Rips pictures.
Anyways, you remodel all kitchen, Rips just replace counter tops.........

Back in 2003 the wife wanted our cupboards removed for actual cabinetry.   I exclaim.  "Great!, I work midnights, I'll demo the kitchen myself."

If only she knew of the concocted plan of the day.

The "Routine" (as it is now called by the wife, went like this):

6:00am - Stare at the previous days progress
6:01am - Grab some breakfast, recline on the LazBoy
7:00am - Remove a cabinet here, chip some more 1" ceramic tiles (had to be over 800 of these fuggers)
8:00am - Fire up Aces High, fly a couple hours
10:00am - Reclines in the LazBoy and nap (pace yourself when not being supervised by the wife)
12:00pm - Grab some lunch
12:15pm - Fire up Aces High again
3:00pm - Remove some more stuff (just enough to make a difference)
4:00pm - Time it so your removing the last thing when she strolls through the door.

I got away with this for 3 days :)

Congrats Rip!   Looks damn good.

My wife said that she wanted the kitchen redone last month.  I said, "OK", and she did it.
