the bbc report i read said he OD'd on a number of prescription and non-prescription medicinal pills he was mixing. he was apparently having troubling sleeping and was under a lot of stress after filming batman so was on sleeping pills and anti-depressants or something.

apparently very little evidence it was suicide.

bit much to jump to conclusions and insult someone who died at a tragically young age guys, especially someone as talented as him (despite what some may think of brokeback mountain etc, he was an incredible actor, especially for someone his age.)

i'm looking forward to the new batman film, ledger looked like a really interesting character.

nah, come on pooh and steve, you guys were pretty quick to jump the gun and see it as a suicide, and then started being pretty disrespectful.

no reason to see it as suicide at the moment, just an accidental legal drug overdose, which sucks as i was looking forward to seeing him in more movies, he'd come a long way since the uber cheese of a knights tale lol.

well, if he had a lot of trouble sleeping, it makes sense that he might try taking a few more to help. that mixed with the other medication they found at his house that he may have been taking, you know, mixing these things is unpredictable, it's a real shame.

post mortem will reveal what happened hopefully.

some of you guys are being twits.  Ledger was not one of the bad guys of Hollywood.   He had talent and soul that showed through the camera like few other young actors these days. This looks like a accidental death of a 28 year man, cut the guy some slack.
