Tonight the Tomcatters with some friends, totally and completely devastated the Japanese Air Power. With our superior American fighters, we shot down countless Ki-84/61s and Mitsabishi A6M5 "Zekes" as well as many flights of Ki-67 bombers with minimum losses to ourselves.
We started the night with cleaning up useless pockets of resistance to the North. After a mear hour of capturing 4 bases, the Tomcatters focused their guns on the southern front where the Japanese seemed to be sliding through our tough and determined mud Marines. After showing up in force with our Hellcats and Corsairs, we swept the skies clear of the inferior Japanese pilots. With heavy air support, the mud Marines were able to seize land back that was taken by the Japanese. Once we recaptured lost ground "3 bases", we continued with our advance south. Sweeping the resistance a side and capturing a further 5 more fields. The Japanese were running so fast that the American supply trucks could not keep up with the advanced units. So the order came down to stop and wait for the supplies to catch up. Once they did, we continued to capture one more base in a glorious way!! However, during this break, the Japanese attempted a counter attack and recaptured V21 with heavy air support, however American fighters were at the time refueling/re-arming/and telling glorious tales of all the Japanese planes falling from the skies! Once the American offensive started again, V21 was quickly recaptured with heavy Japanese losses and minimum American casualties.
After this was done, a mission was in the works to capture one more field....
5 VERY brake piots (Myself, oACBo, Leo, Bodean, Bruiticus) all upped C-47s and flew them 4 sectors to capture V16. As we came closer to the target, my C-47 appeared to have engine malfunctions and crashed (Have a trojan virus and AH minimized and i crashed into the water). A rescue boat happened to pick me up, but were unable to save the brave paratroopers in my transport. I was then returned to my CV and was quickly given an F6F Hellcat, fully armed and fully fueled with a mission to escort the goons the rest of the way in. After liking up with the Goons, an order was given to check and make sure all Japanese gunners were killed or had fled the area. After a quick buzz, i turned North only to discover a Japanese mission. After shooting down 3 bombers and 3 fighters, i was then damaged and was able to land my damaged Hellcat in the water. After i swam back to land, oACBo landed his Goon, picked me up, and continued on his mission. As we came closer to the field, a squaddie "CrazyIvn" was engaged with a Ki-84. As the detracted the Japanese pilot, all 4 goons were able to drop all the Paratroopers successfully and leave the area. However, Bodean, was shot down due to a luck shot by the Ki-84. He was found an hour later with a bottle of Sake in one hand, and a Japanese twins in the other.... The Paratroopers were then able to fight their way to the Map room and successfully capture yet another field for the Allies.
All together tonight, the Allies captured around 12 fields. Was the most fun i have ever had in Aces High and hope this type of fun continues for a long time!!
