Mensa, Blender itself is extremely simple. Its figuring out how it operates that is difficult. Once you have a basic understanding (which the noob-to-pro tutorials will teach you) of the interfaces and how they work, it becomes one of the easiest and most advanced tools you can use to make basic or advanced 3D models / images.
For example, I can make a bridge from scratch in about 20 minutes. Not a stinky bridge either. The tough parts are texturing and exporting. Texturing makes or breaks your design, it sure does look great in that default grey of Blender, but it has to be textured. And when it comes to exporting, anything you did wrong during construction of your shape will come out. I always have difficulty during these two steps, but I manage to get past them both at a snail-pace.
Have fun, and get building!
