I didn't mean for you guys to review every film, just save them in case there are any questions in the future.  Just like some sports take blood samples, but don't process them unless questions arise.

We tried that once, I forget exactly which KOTH it was, but the one I hosted and requested films, I only got 1.
Maybe at a minimum, I'd have to receive a film to validate the round win, then if any questions arise I'd watch them. I just might go that route.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

That would probably be the most effective route.

P.S.  Having to make decisions with limited information is difficult, to say the least.

Love to.

Y'er lying.

I don't have a "thing" for the Muppets.  Far from it.  I like, and thought I was on a friendly basis, with some in that squad.

The premise that I single out any single squad is rediculous.

Don't just "say it" bipolar, POST it.  Just don't just post a single out of context line.  Let's see filims of the convo's or at the very least screen shots of the WHOLE conversation.  Granted, film is the only "concrete" proof you could provide, and that would be the preferred medium.

Best to take this to the King of the Hill forum as we have hijacked this thread long enough.  I will go start a thread now in the KOTH forum so you can post screen shots of those complete conversations you imply you have for us all.

The en vouge trick duel move of the month club newsletter.  I've seen a lot of things in duels that you don't come across in the arenas...Or if you do, you laugh, because you're under no obligation to immediately 5G reverse back and nibble on the bait.  I remember haning out in the DA years ago with a pretty good pilot who does not normally duel.  He was perplexed with a merge another guy was using.  I tried to explain to him the geometry of what was going on, and IIRC he adapted to it then.  So was that pilot like not skilled because he wasn't up to date on the latest trick dueling move?

Well, yes.  Isn't that what is all about?  You have a bag of tricks and you try to pull the right one out to kill the bad guy.  After you pass a level of skill in a plane, I think what your handling and knowledge of the plane should be equal.  So, whats is left to make the difference?  Out smarting or out flying your opponent. He will be a less skilled pilot if his bag of skills is smaller or if he cannot pick the right trick out the bag.

Guess what, I look behind me after the merge.  If the guy is not pulling a 5G turn I don't either.  That would be pulling the wrong trick.

What is your definition of a skill anyway?  Maybe we are just talking about different things.

Again, in English....
Who has recieved a plaque from HTC for KoTH that has mediocre skills?

Im waiting?
Murdr, you're not bad, but there are quite a few guys that are better sticks than you. Stop puffing your chest and posturing.

Winning a KOTH is not the be-all end-all of skill in this game. It depends HOW you win it, but oftentimes the winner is whoever is best at avoiding hard fights until almost everyone is dead, or whoever is best at making sure they're the third or fourth man in to a fight at the start of the round. You've participated in enough koths by now that you should know that as well as I do. Hell, a few of the KOTHs I've won were largely due to people picking the planes I'm best in.

That won't be much of a issue soon wetrat.  We got a new map about to be released for koth that has 20 thru 80 mile circles.  Gonna be more 1vs 1 competition then before.  Be plenty of room for everyone.  Right now the largest circle we have I believe is 40 miles.

When thinking about the best, after reading some of these lists, I can add 5 more every time i consider it for 5 mins.

There are really too many to list and too many lists to just pick top ten. There are the most...disciplined...like SHawk etc..the best wingmen, the most agressive, and then you have the most raw talent, and don't forget the specialists who have mastered their particular plane or planes after flying them for so many years. Don't forget those that learn at an amazing rate and those that are too lazy to try to improve. (I'm in this list these days :() and the best DAers, best KOTHers, etc, etc... There are more lists I'm sure. I find myself thinking most of the ole AW crew and the early AH crew mainly because I'm old fashioned and pine for "the good ole days" But there are some fairly new guys that do very well, but I'll never tell em  :D I find myself slipping backwards down any list I ever made as I just want to find the red dar bar and see how many I can get first!

Beaver, do you do stand-up too?  I believe...I could be wrong, that if the list was of top chest thumpers in the game, my name would rarely, if ever come up.  I'm fairly confident some of your known associates would make frequent appearences though.  So if that is a pet peeve of yours, you might want to look elsewhere first.

I neither said KoTH was the be all end all of skill, nor did I claim to be the best a anything in the game.  What I read when I browsed this thread was nothing but negative discounting of KoTH (whether that was the intention or not).  One neat thing about KoTH is that there is absolutely nothing in the design that tells you how to fight.  Only that you must be in or heading to a fight at all times.  All aspects of air combat are an option, and those who have a diverse bag of tricks do well.  If a lessor pilot wins a KoTH, it's typically the collective fault of the participants for allowing that to happen, not the event format.

thats all very well and good murdr.

i want to know WTF is going on when a decent guy like Bosco is banned for an entire month....not only that but disgraced on the forum by all the koth CMs and alot of the players....and what for?

typing private messages to his friend, nothing more than 'damn, these guys are really good, im dying alot'. Bosco even had the courage to come forward and own up, and take his retarded punishment.

To what? to set an EXAMPLE to the the players of koth

never did bosco type 'blukitty is so and so lets kill so and so'.

AND you cheeky f**kers had the nerve to ban Bosco as an EXAMPLE.

The WMLute and the ENTIRE koth management team owe Bosco a public appology, that is the only way you are going to stop 90% of the koth player base from considering koth now a complete joke.

no bullchit replies to this, just a public appology to Bosco and we all move on swiftly.
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

Before u go any further, I suggest u be patient and stop right there.  Fuzeman and I are dealing with the situation as we speak!  Don't restart something that alrdy got stopped elsewhere in the forums as there will be reprocutions from HTC.
