chair.. I think you are making too much of it.   I believe you are over thinking it.

I enjoy having you on the board..  lots of folks do.  Most I would bet...It matters not if we agree or not on some things.  You keep me on my toes and I have learned some things.. can't ask for more than that.

My guess?   No one has the time to review the whole "probation" thing.

probation, from the Latin word probatio - meaning testing period

Does this mean you failed the test?

Whats sad is this:
The BBS was just recently gone thru a MAJOR issue and had to be rolled back...to may IIRC. So in actuality your probation in BBS time hasnt been that long.

The actual point I was wanting to make tho is that with all thats been going on Skuzzy polly just fergot. Aint nothing personal and I'd hate to see ya go.
I think it would be a real shame if you left and it was all over a simple thing like being to busy keeping the BBS running to realize that a member has been on probation status too long
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

Come on Chair, dude.

If you're burned out on the board than take a break. But don't get worked up over something that silly. It's nice having you around.

What's this all about? I started to read the initial post but saw it was written by a troublemaker so I didn't give it any further consideration.

The point of this thread was to either (A) guilt Skuzzy into removing a pretty much meaningless tag from Chairboy's handle, or (B) to show how big of a baby this dude is.

A probation tag is merely a mild warning.  Considering the fact that a person can be banned, and come back a while later.

I don't particularly like Chairboy from run-ins I've had with over the years.  This just proves what I thought about him.

As one who suffers from a mild case of OCD, I can see how the probation tag could grate on your nerves after a while.  But you have to remember that you're being much harder on yourself than anyone else is.  Aside from a few like shrimp boy, the old timers know and respect you and therefore the probation tag holds no weight.

I've always enjoyed reading your posts, even when I disagree.  After all, most of us have far more in common than not.

If you don't reconsider, at least drop in from time to time and show us your latest flame thrower or Halloween costume.  And if the Boston PD goes postal over some more light brights, I'll expect you front and center mister.

Good luck to you, what ever you decide.

Chair I don't always agree with you but I'm of the mind that the folks at HTC are too busy to keep up with the probation tags.  As a previous poster said give them a call personally and work it out.  I think it would be a loss to the group if you bailed.  And this comes from a guy who generally looks at 'goodbye' posts and thinks 'attention w@#$%'.  *shrug* just my .02

Classy as usual...

I just want to remind you that chances are subatomic that your personal good-bye thread will reach 4 pages in a day... At best you'll reap a half-dozen posts like 'good riddance' and 'don't let the door hit you'...
