you got it backwards. It is expected that most purse snatching will be done by right handed people, since there is more of them. Just like you would expect most crimes to be perpetrated by a white people (since there is more of them than blacks).

In reality the opposite is true, so it is very reasonable to question/investigate a possible causality.

Your example should be:

"More purses are stolen by LEFT handed purse snatchers, so LEFT handedness can possibly cause purse snatching."

It is unreasonable and irresponsible to outright dismiss a possibility of a causal like, like you do.

Also, it would be perfectly reasonable for the cops to concentrate the searches on LEFT handed people.

that answer is fairly simple...and has been mentioned before in this thread.

there is a large culture of crime in younger blacks. since the majority of younger blacks commit the majority of the violent crimes, we come back to the good hard working black men and women. those unlucky men and women have to live in the shadow of the ""thugs""

You ever take a course on Statistics?  That chart doesn't accurately back up your statement in any significant way. That shows "per capita" the average. Seeing as there are over 200,000 whites in there with just over 36,000 blacks of course the average is going to be higher for whites because your dealing with a much larger number for whites to start with.

I had this same discussion with a black guy I worked with in the Coast Guard. He was saying all the same things. When I pointed out to him that since we were both ET's with the same training and background, how could I as a white man make more money than him as a black man when he was a Chief and I was a 1st Class. Mind you he was in the class ahead of me in A school so the training we had was the same, the experiance we had was pretty much the same. We both retired about the same time and the last I heard he was working for Raytheon, and he probably still makes more money than I do.

Anyway like I said, your link doesn't back up your statement that a white person makes more money than a black person.

Tried to Google the subject of wage differences between black and white people of equal experience and education.  Many of the articles required a subscription to read, but here is one link which may be informative for those with the time to read it.  It focuses on student performance and an educational achievement gap.

I found and then lost a link to a good article discussing the wage gap.  There is a wage gap in earnings, but it is attributable to a number of factors with different schools of thought as to how to equalize things, along with ideas concerning the causes of inequality.  It mentioned the gap is becoming narrower over time, with education being the primary factor involved to equalize the wage gap.  The article states education and experience being equal, the amount of time at work is one of the reasons for wage disparity.  It explores possible reasons for this.

There are a number of sites which discuss the wage gap.  Some of them are subscription sites, but there is no argument about a wage gap in any of the sites I found.  There is a lot of discussion as to why the gap exists however.
