Prawn Attack! 109g2s

Here is a short 'in-cockpit' film of a Raw Prawn sortie. A group of us bolted on an extra pair of 20mm to our 109g2s for extra punch.
All the footage was captured 'live'.
This is my first successful use of what I call mega high definition, 1680x946 (16:9 widescreen aspect ratio) at 60 frames per second.

Length:

Well the quality is exceptionally there and TrackIR shots are always nice.  But at a ratio of 75mb per minute of film, you may have to burn DVD copies and mail it to people if you were to make it a full length film.

Yes, the size is very indulgent  :D
My maximum size is 100 meg per film, so 50 meg for less than a minute is a bit much  :lol

For interest, the un-compressed version is over 10 000 megabytes per minute.

This is the first time I've been able to post a full resolution film, without quality loss. Im happy  :salute

Heya South,
Looks great. =)

Can I ask a couple of questions?

#1. Why film in 1680x1050? You could record the film in 720p (1280x720) which would keep a widescreen aspect ration (16:9), dramatically reduce the file size, as well as conform to an HD standard that is both friendly to monitors and HDTV screens. (720p @60fps looks great on a 1080p TV, and still pretty good on a 1680x1050LCD monitor).

#2. What kind of filter are you using on that video? The lighting looks like nothing I've seen before. =)

Thanks!
Knite
