Not a "good" rook
« on: August 18, 2008, 08:51:29 PM »
Sorry rooks but according to some of yer countryman (KYKID) i don't belong there
and "should switch sides".
Bwaa hahahahaaa.
<--Tried to keep a straight face and failed.
Little does he know I DO switch sides when numbers and or fight dictates.
Mauwahahahah.

In all fairness i did egg him on a little by replying to one of his "stupid rooks only want to furball"
comments by saying that "frankly i could not care if the rooks were down to uncapturable bases
as long as there was a good fight going".

Well to KYKID and his ilk i say "keep playing grasshopper and one day you too shall see the light
which is the art of the dogfight".
I'd also say that, "guess what, you can beat a higher, faster con, without a HO", but i don't want
to sound preachy. :D

wow.......... sorry Soup but,  KYKID is right,

all rooks do is furball and let bases be captured when they are crapping around in some useless and meaningless furball,

i have watched so many freaken bases stolen from the rooks because they are furballing at one main base, I'm am so tired of rooks, i would have went bish 2 years ago because of rooks crap but i didn't because i stay loyal to my squad that are always rooks,

for over a year now all our squad does now is defend, defend defend defend because rooks are furballing and could care less if our bases were being taken, its sickening to watch it,

now I'm going to say i am not whining, i am speaking the truth from the way i see it and the rest of the squad sees it i am also saying we are not just the only few rooks that care, there are others.

just like my squaddie recently said
Quote
we have resorted to,
racing t34 tanks down hills, and jeeps around airfields because I
think the fights gone out of most of us. I get on some nights now and
sit in the tower and just shoot the poop because there only a hand
full of us and we done got out tails whipped so much here lately that
the feeling is, why even try

I'm sorry but correct me if I'm wrong................... :(

EDIT:

im am sorry if i kindof sortof not really but stiill broke rule numbers  4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 15,

EDITagain: also i respect the fact that its YOUR 15$ so nevermind  :noid :noid

I winged with the BoP's, FALSE PROPHETS, The Flying Circus and others.    Why?   In over 6 years of playing friendships have been cemented by players on other sides and myself.    I can give a damn about a chesspiece.   I wing with my squad 75% of the time and buddies the rest.

News2u, fly where you want, when you want and however you want.   Don't give a damn about what they say.   I cannot wait to come back to Rookland for Titanic Tuesday.    :noid

 :lol  I tell you...some people....

My squad had a squad day on Saturday about noonish or so. We generally dont toolshed per se' but decided on doing some Buff/Fighter escort. So I take a look at the map and see the rooks have the least players...and the least bases.

SO I decided as a squad...we would pork the Bish ords and troops at some bases and try to slow down thier assualt on the Rooks. Bish had the most bases and most players online even with my squad on our knights side.

We don't swap countries but I have no problem slowing down an asault on the down country by the other.

So..after we knocked the troops down at a couple of bases....I told the rooks on 200 that they were down. OlDemon seemed happy....yet wideload came back with something to the effect of...."**** you RedTop...we there is no truce here".Now we were fighting most of the way to the bish bases as we flew threw rook territory to get there. Was fun...and we helped out the rook for a short time anyway. WHen I told him I was a knight he was just not hearing it and started in on my sister. Classy. Made me a bit hot...but I squelched him and got on with my day....

Seems people just look for a reason thses days to be a big shot on 200. They want to be like the "Big Boys" on 200 and just basically act like jerks. Guess there are some on 200 setting that fine example that others just have to be like.

Toolshedding is cartoon necrophilia. Rather than fighting living human pilots in their cartoon planes you fight inanimate, immobile, dead cartoon things.

Has it not been proven many times over that this does indeed instigate fights between living, real world things in thier cartoon airplanes? In the past, an occassional B17/Pony Escort mission proved quite effective in that regard. Many 262's demolished us, as some recall.

Occasional being the operative word in that sentence. The prevalence of NOE raids, dropping FHs as SoP and the evaporation of once spanked raids only to reappear at some far-flung vacant place 15 sectors away on a HUGE map makes it very, very occasional. I truly hope that one day we return to the bygone era when fighting for fields was perceived as a far more sacred and rewarding goal than bending over backwards to take them without any significant fighting at all. I'm not holding my breath for that day though...  :uhoh

We had all kinds of 38 drivers up tonite.  We happened to fly Bish as they had low numbers to start.  It didn't matter what 'country'.  It was guys from all over in the 38s, just having fun.

Bottom line is having fun :aok
