Well I fly in FS9, and I'm the C.E.O. of a Virtual Airline, XL Virtual Airways. I fly their routes, which are mostly in the UK.

Vatsim, Globe Cargo VA, 742F & 744F and all over the world.

Though for VFR I enjoy Australia with the new FTX scenery, stunning.

A2A Sims P51D from Seattle to Manila with drop tanks of course. This can be really challenging with real world weather. Otherwise I just head out to the hurricanes and typhoons.

EDIT: Your post got me to check out their site again and it looks like the Accu-Sim pack is out. Unfortunately it only works for the Boeing 377 and I had so much hope for their warbirds. At least they updated the Spit Jug and 109 for FSX. 3D Lights are a must have also.  :aok

I wish the noobs that keep asking about the B29 for AHII would try A2As version first. It might change their tune (more so if it was supported by Accu-Sim).

KAW1000, that strip looks really short :O and those trees really close. No room for mistakes there.

I don't have a favourite place to fly in FS9. Don't use it at the moment. I'm a bit overdosed with the real thing. I did 6.5 hours last Sunday. But when I do I tend to fly around Ireland.

How is your virtual airline coping with virtual fuel costs?  :devil

I think that strip is meant for something more along these lines...

You may laugh of course but you should know that there are millions of users of FS9 and FSX and the virtual airlines are very popular along with virtual ATC. I heard talk of organizing a virtual Oshkosh as an annual event but I dont know if it ever happened.

EDIT: Check out 3D Lights Redux video (at least as far as the F18 night carrier landing).

If you want bush flying in FS9 try flying around Nepal. Bunch of high altitude strips in the mountains, tough approaches, lots of fun when you have real weather turned on.

If I'm on VATSIM I tend to stick with the eastern US or western Europe. If I find the VUSCG is online I might fly a low alt smuggling profile into south Florida. I'll private text the ATC to give them a heads up but other than that I won't "talk" to them over comms. Occasionaly fly a Russian Bear bomber out of Cuba and track up the east coast ducking in and out of ATC control sectors without informing them I'm up there. It's surprising how many people will ditch a flight to scramble an F-16 or something to conduct and intercept and then escort me for awhile. Kinda fun.
