It happens on both sides.  Too many times just debating, I have gotten called many things by some that appear to be Dems.  And then have them back track when called on it.  I really will be quitting debating in the political threads because of it.

I've noticed the same thing, say anything bad about McCain your bipartisan and a nut job, but meanwhile there doing the exact same thing towards Obama & the Democrats.

Your and my personal views differ.  I will never attack you personally over it, let alone make a threat of violence.  That's the beauty of America, we all can have our own viewpoint.

It does not mean that I will not disagree with your viewpoints.

I understand, this is enemy turf. None of you scare me, not even the graphic that says "Sooner or Later, you'll get yours." which is a lovely veiled threat of violence and all...

Hey now, there was no veiled threat anywhere.  Read it again:

It says, "Sooner or Later, You'll Get It."  IT... as in... Get it?

It was just meant to be a humorous, albeit feeble, attempt to let you know that you might change your mind some day.

I thought it was amusing that I found a Dos Equis picture ad with those words on it and I posted it.  It wasn't a threat, veiled or otherwise!  That you took it as such speaks volumes.  Get over yourself!

The meaning of the pic was pretty obvious. Either he is being intentionally obtuse or he will simply never get it.

I see. Well, "it" is somewhat vague. I appreciate the clarification, and apologize for the insinuation.

Actually, all you're really doing by repeating this "get it" quote over and over... is that your opinion is right and he is too immature or stupid to realize it.  In short, you believe you have superior standing, no matter what.  It's obtuse, but it is exactly what you are saying.  This "it" is some hypothetical that you have figured out, that he has not.... and when he does.... boy, the whole world will shift.

Get over yourself.

Seriously.  Don't apologize.  You stated you position... he disagreed by making you seem inferior to him.  Stand firm, there is no need to apologize.

Besides, these loony OC repubs think it's weak.
