It said that the page failed to meet Wikipedia's standards because it lacked independent, third party citations and stuff like that, and was slated for deletion.

Nice additions Brooke.  It might help to add an external (non Hitechcreations) reference, like a game magazine review.  Unfortunately the only one I can find is: http://archive.gamespy.com/reviews/february02/aceshigh/  which is quite old.
