Rook Strategic Bomber Mission Alert!
A 'Mother of all Missions' [MoM] Event

INTRODUCTION
Now that the weather is getting cooler and many of
us are finished with the chores that burdened us all
summer, I thought it would be a fun idea to start
up these Rook Joint Squadron Operations mass missions. 

The bomber missions I have been running in the MA
have been very well attended and enjoyed by many
so I thought it would be fun to kick it up a notch or two
by organizing a titanic air battle for everyone to
enjoy in advance.

I had initially started on this idea back in the spring
but everything didn't come together until May...but
by then it was too late, summer was upon us.
So lets see how this idea does now that we are all
available once again.

WHO'S INVITED
All Rook players and squadrons are invited to attend!
In addition to this general invite, a personal invitation
will be transmitted to over 190 Rook players and squadron
C.O.'s currently on our email alert list so I am hopeful
that we will get a decent turnout.

and enter your email in the "MoM Alert Signup" box
at the top of the page.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Just be in the arena and join the mission after it is
posted.  Don't worry, it will be aggressively advertised
on Country Channel text so you don't miss it.

If you have any questions please post them in this thread
and I will try my best to quickly answer them.

I am hoping to run one of these each month, maybe
twice a month if there is enough interest.   8)

'titanic' dimension I'm hoping for, then probably.

I can only wish that all of our opposition will be German aircraft. 
That would make the immersion factor awesome!

Not to mention making the movies that we wll be producing
look more 'historical' and realistic.

I don't know who we will be anihilating yet though.
depends on the map and our available bases.

Like I said earlier, if we get a ton of people in bombers
I will most likely broadcast that we are airborne and give
the targeted country a heads-up so they can defend.

But if we only get the same number of bombers we usually
mount during missions (20 or so) then we'll probably
run the mission clandestine.

Escorts are easy to get, what I am wishing for is
a mammoth horde of B-17's - THAT should be something
to see!

If I'm on that night I'd be happy to join any 190s or 109s looking to rain 30mm hell on the bomber pilots heads.

The 21st is a ways off.

Lets all hope that the opposition sticks to the German aircraft, Think it would make a fantastic Movie at the end of it.
Might even be worth seeing if you could "Book" the SEA for the event? That way you could set it up so the other guys just gets the Axis Aircraft?

Yes, delta try and see if we can lease the SEA for the 21st. That will make the immersion complete since we can set it 8th AF vs Luftwaffe. I'm in to help anyway possible and be assure the 78th FG " Eagles of Duxford " & " Razorbacks"  will be overhead in our Tbolts giving the Luftwaffe the showdown of their lives.
