SkyTiger I really enjoyed reading your accounts of your day to day adventures in this game. I think you let some of the veterans get to you. This community is unique, in the sense that players who have played AW and every other game preceeding this game think they are better than everyone else. They are nothing but bullies. A while back they even accused someone of lying about a child's death. All I can say is that you need to ignore them and keep on flying. <S>

If you have played other sims it's not too hard to get up to speed fast in AH2.  The hard part is the gunnery and vehicles.

He did seem a bit above the average however.  But who cares.  His threads had some entertaining value.

From your comment it is obvious you never encountered him in the sky nor looked at his stats.  He was hardly 'good' for a n00b, more like on par with being a n00b.

Again I don't understand what's so hard about someone new doing pretty well starting off.  All flight sims are similar, all you have to do is get the feel for the one you're flying and it's not that difficult to be okay... great?  sure, but not just ok.  He was barely okay at best.

I guess if you came to AH after watching a certain commercial only wielding a mouse and only with counterstrike experience under your belt, I can see how you'd think it's so tough and impossible for someone new to do well.

I thought that you had peaked out, but you're adding a measure of subtlety and your trolls are indeed becoming more effective.  By this time next year you may be somewhere near believable.
