Firefly was a better show.

Wasn't that canceled after a couple of seasons?

Word.

Firefly was cancelled by FOX after they ran the episodes out of order and nobody could follow what was going on. Then FOX in their infinite wisdom refused to release the rights so another network could pick it up. Can't let a compeditor take a great show and prove the FOX exec's had their head up their 6.

I couldn't agree more.  Like I said I was surprised to see Serenity in BSG.

There are 3 homages in the miniseries, The Serenity, a Constitution class starship in the "rag tag" fleeet, and the Agro ship from Silent Running

Two great series that were cancelled due to poor marketing: Firefly and Arrested Development (I hear they are going to make a movie based on the second one as well).

(Image removed from quote.)

Heh not that I'm aware of...there was one in a episode of Futurama once...

Love that show, I use the theme for my ringtone on my mobile for calls from home, and have 2 eagles - a Dinky version 2 transporter from the late 70's (although not in as perfect condition as the pic), and a new 2006 product enterprise freighter

The  Constitution class starship is really hard to see. I only spotted it when someone posted a blown up pic from a still. and it was still a fairly blurry/grainy pic. BUT, it is in there.
Didnt know about the serenity. The agro ship has made an appearance in several episodes IIRC

Yes and the fans petitioned to get it back and they made a movie.

I doubt that will happen with BSG. At least this version.

This latest episode was a bit of a letdown. I would have thought they would have explained some more things. Instead we see Adama wrestling with the idea of abandoning ship  :cry
It seems that they did set more stuff up and I guess it will be a grand finale....or atleast I HOPE so :pray
Plugging anders into the ship and reviving him only to hear him spout gobbeldy-gook like the hybrieds do.... :huh
kinda sad that I got my excited after the show watching the preview for next week  :confused:Some of the fans on the BSG boards take the show a lil bit to seriously and IMNSHO aren't firing on all thrusters  :rofl

Space Above and Beyond was a much better show.

A couple of clips from one of the best episodes.
