I heard from an inside source that the building was actually a pre-school for disabled children.

Makes it easier for the A-10 pilot, doesn't have to lead them so much.

I had the rare opportunity to see one of these bad boys do it's business on an Iraqi tank in the first Gulf War. I was a 13F (Forward Obsever) in the good ol' days and caused or witnessed a fair share of destruction, but never have I seen and have yet to see again anything dismantled so brutally.

We were told that the A-10 pilots had to see a shrink after sorties because of the up close and personal nature of their work. Don't know how true that was. Never had a chance to ask one.
