I saw a friendly 51 the other night with no name as well.  Check 6'd him and got "Check 6       "

Even when AI was being tested in the MA it had a drone "name".

Usually you'll figure out it's "someone" when they type in the text buffer and there's no name next to the text.

wrongway
I've had that "No name in the text buffer" thing happen to me before WrongWay. Don't know if it affected my icon name also, but stands to reason that it did. Nobody pointed it out though. Relogging fixed it.

I once sent in a video of a pony that I reduced to one wing, then to no wing with no apparent effect whatsoever. After I took the one wing off, he proceeded to kill me turn-fighting. I re-upped and took the guy's other wing off, kept on fighting, and eventually received a pilot wound from the torpedo that was left.

Just a WEE bit frustrating.

I had the same thing almost against an f6f. I was in b-26s. I took of both wings, his tail, and flamed him. After I used up all my tailgun ammo he shot all 3 of my bombers down and then landed the kills.  I sent the film in. Skuzzy replied promptly. It is a known bug ,even though the guy got kill credit, upon landing the game boots you.  Still frustrating but it wasn't anything "hacked".  Poor guy prolly thought he was in an ubercat.... :noid

saw it once a couple of years ago. was a 190, it would not die. I think after a while I was being chased by a ploom of smoke and fire. And tracers. If i remember correctly it was happening rather frequently for about a week.

I sent the film upstairs.  P51 flyin into a enemy base while auto ack shot it without any hits, then it landed on the run-way, had no name beside the icon.. :huh

I had this the other day I sent it to skuzzy and he said it was an old bug that they believed they had fixed.  I hadn't seen anything like it since i've started playing AH,

Basically a friendly P51 with no name, was flying through an enemy base getting shot at but taking no damage,  I stayed alive amongst many red guys to film him,  he pinged me up, i pinged him up, i eventually flew straight for him to shoot my wing off.

shows up on the film clearly.  The enemy planes said they saw no P51, but my FE had this guy loaded as a friendly when he was actually enemy.  :noid
