Field Artillery
« on: March 11, 2009, 06:11:48 AM »
How about a fixed battery of guns to protect certain airfields from gv attacks and the ability to shell other field and towns. Easy to do. Like shore batteries with a land mode for targeting indirect fire. Of course binocular mode for jeep, m3, and lvts drivers for forward observers to spot the rounds.

How about towed artillery and have done with it?
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Maybe put a few 5" guns for both air and ground. :aok

Voted no.

Too much emphasis has already been taken away from the 'high' part of Aces High.

You cant do everything.  See WWIIOL for example.

Well, sometimes you want to get out of that pony and hop into a Sherman.  Aces High is not just a flying game, and GV's should be given their fair share of the action.

I say yes to adding artillery, with a bias towards towed artillery.
