Furthermore, it appears he's urinating upon the glider.

I'm betting its a drunken hobo that wondered into the factory.

Well, we have tank spawns & PT spawns, why not have glider spawns a mile or two off a base 5-10k at speed, if say all the field guns are down, and the troop barracks are all down, or more. Could also have the ability to land light tanks or jeeps.

Would be fun as heck.

Stephen Ambrose describes the June 6, 1944 glider landings at the Orne River bridge and Caen Cannal as the best flying in World War II.  (His book, Pegasus Bridge.)

There are now markers established on that river-bank, indicating where the gliders landed that night in the dark.

Truely impressive.

Precision glider landing with troops in AH2 could be interesting. Precision and possible rough terrain being operative point and success modifiers.

I think the gliders would be hard to implement, since they would have to be towed.

An idea that might work is having a glider-drone follow your C-47 (just like in a bomber formation, but just 1 drone). If you bail out of your C-47, you'll spawn inside the Glider and do your thing :)

Not sure if the C-47 should also be able to drop troops though.
If added, the glider would need to be perked (who'd fly a 'lone' C-47 after that?)

Give us JU-52.

That's not a glider.
And if you knew, you're off topic.
Come to think of it, I don't think it ever towed a glider.

Ju 52's were used very frequently for towing gliders.
Was the standard plane to tow the DFS 230.
