hey guys!

Im flying to America tomorrow for my business for three weeks, hopefully I can get time and can join in on some of the events that are normaly to late for me to join in on due to the time difference! so people of texas...watch out! here I come

im staying in this area South Frwy. Manvel...if I have much time off..is there anywhere good to go to?

Welcome to Texas jdbecks!

First thing to wrap your brain around. England is about 50,352 square miles in size. Texas is 268,601 square miles. That is not a dig. Just preparation. Yes, there are a number of things to do and places to see in Texas, but not all will be within your grasp.

Next, we all talk funny here. We have what is called a Texas drawl. Not quite a Southern accent and with our own unique vocabulary. ya'll is most prominent, for "you all". Used even when talking to a single person. "Ya'
ll come back now, ya hear?".

Next, if you are in Manvel, TX, that is South of Houston. Lots of things to do in that area. I'll let the Houstonites chime in here though.

If you decide to bring your gun make sure you have a permit to carry..

JD's english, pretty sure you dont need a permit to concealed carry a cap gun (if indeed he managed toi get on the plane with it) -

can I go to a shooting range near me? Ive not fired a rifle since I was in the army, I use to be a good shot

Howdy! Welcome to Texas! There are a lot of shooting ranges in the area. A nice place to visit is the Air Museum in Galveston.

LOL! come to southern Mississippi, we don't use shooting ranges,

just pull off the road and start shooting at whatever you see

Lone star Air museum (Galveston) is about 40 miles from Manvel. Also, USS Texas is about 40 miles East of Manvel.

When you land and go through immigration they will ask you if you have any firearms. If you say no they will issue you one and ask you to turn it in before flying back home.
