Define your criteria for what you mean by "best car".
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

According to Wikipedia, Bugatti was founded by Ettore Bugatti in Molsheim, Alsace, Germany in 1909, which became a part of France after WWI. It 'failed' before WWII and was sold to Hispano-Suiza (another French company...) in 1963. Today cars under the Bugatti name today are produced by Volkswagen AG. Hardly an Italian car.

Dacia 1300 was the only car made in Romania for much of the cold war..
It is a copy of the Renault 12..  Both uncles from my mom's side still have their
original 72 Dacia 1300's all decked out with drop down mini-fan (what air conditioning?)
and single station AM Radio tuned to the State's radio frequency..  Many are still running today
even without parts available as some guys just manufacture them(horribly) or use some type of
Afro-American engineering..  Great cars....  Very economical...  Was it the best?  It was the best
for Romania at that time...

I like classy, beautiful, intelligent woman that say the "F" word a lot....

The Veyron is made by Bugatti in France.   As was the EB110 in 95.

Define your criteria for what you mean by "best car".

1.  Proven reliability
2.  Decent gas mileage (having previously owned a V8 SHO, I define this as 20-25+)
3.  Anything but "American."

You claim to be Italian, i bet you were not born in Italy, just like the Bugatti you claim to be Italian was also not born in Italy? ;) :D

Most F1 teams are based in England, current best being:-

Or how about Thrust SSC, also a British car?

However, i still maintain that the Germans make the best cars.
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

Best Car, huh... ALL ITALIAN!

Beat me to it.

I was fortunate enough to be able to drive a Ferrari owned by a friend of mine (He aslo has two Aston Martin's btw...a DB 9 (in Florida) and a Vanquish (in London)) recently.

...here ya go, I can even prove it:

If I only had a couple of hundred thousand, plus a few more for maintenance, free I'd own one in a heart-beat.
