Yeah that too!
I am really gonna hate it when they start modeling bug `splat' specs all over the windscreen!

I'll take any plane from the Ironworks when the Navy arrives in HTC.

We have quite enough US fighters.  Hellcat is not significantly more capable than F4U in any area of performance.  Let's get some bombers, and more fighter types for the other countries.

Funked, right now the F4U and A6M are the only carrier borne planes in the game.

If we do end up getting carriers in 1.04 it would be nice to have some planes to fly from them.

Of course, we need carriers before we'd have any need a Hellcat.

Which brings up another point. I hope the Ju88 will be able to carry two torpedoes on wing pylons.

We had tentatively planned for ships and the perk plane system to be in 1.04, but have opted to delay that. Instead we want to use 1.04 as a smaller release to catch up on some unfinished items and add some more planes. The major items on the list for 1.04 is finishing up the feature set on the film viewer and the Ju 88 and Lancaster.

Gimmie an F6F, and a KI to shoot down (along with the A6M's we already have) with it!

While I'll cheerfully accept whatever the Grapevine Gang puts on the menu, I do think that the Japanese, Italian and Russian planesets deserve a boost before any more US iron makes the scene.

With 6 countries represented, there's a huge catalog of possibilities. It's going to take some time.

Out of curiosity, Why 20mm? how many F6F's really had them? i'll take it even with "just" 6 .50's myself, just because i would love to fly it in an HA or scenario's.

Hamish out!

Found a pic of an F6F-5

Ya hellcat a good choice, anything from the war in the big blue is fine by me also.
Then we need a pacific message board and arena to go with it, I guess thats version 1.05 with carriers.
I think a pac only planeset will help dial in the flight models and may thin out the complaining a bit, adds a bit of realism IMO.
But anything from the war of the carriers will be welcomed by me, American or Japanese.

As long as you can't land a B17 on a carrier deck, that's all I ask

You know, like you could in AW? [gasp!]

No planes without arrestor hooks landing on carriers!

Many of the F6F-5 variant had the inboard mgs replaced with 20mm hispanos. I don't know the exact number. Cannon armament should be an option when F6F-5 is modeled.  USN was cannon friendly. ;-)

If ya need cannons, just go the the F8F Bearcat and it's 4 20m's. The Tigercat would be nice too!   I'd like the F6F too though.
