HiTech himself said he would like to add subs someday.

FYI....His grand father was on a WW2(or 1?) submarine.

Well until they add at least one of the items on HT's wishlist. I will assume that he is aggrivated for ppl wishing for stuff on a wishlist that will never be in the game.

They've already announced that they will be working on the first item that he posted.

I wish AH Had a character animation system so so FPS and troops could be integrated.

I wish AH had support for dual sound drivers so ear phones and mics could be split off from speakers.

I wish AH had WWI planes.

I wish AH had Subs.

I wish AH had spawning arenas with the ability for players to configure and upload there terrains.

I wish AH had a new low level sound system to support midi and mp3 file formats.

I wish AH had ambient sounds in different areas and buildings.

I wish AH had the ability to bump map planes and other objects.

I wish AH had the ability for boats to drive on rivers.

I wish AH had more animation on vehicles as they move across terrain.

I wish AH had an integrated WEB page on the clip board to make event announcements and squad bbs reading better.

We had our convention this past weekend which gave us the chance to speak with players in person and talk about the future of AH.  We’ve been thinking about how we were going to move forward and came to some conclusions that we decided to announce at the convention.

The main news is that we have decided to put Combat Tour on an indefinite hold.  The reason for this is that we have decided that it is better to steer our development in a way that allows us to implement our CT developments first as part of the regular game.

The way we’ve been going has been like trying to fight a two front war with only one army.  It’s stretched us too thin and has hurt our overall level of productivity.  It also has handcuffed us in a lot of our development decisions by forcing us to indefinitely postpone a lot of other things.

Our biggest obstacle with CT is in breathing life into it to make it fun and immersive.     While a basic structure is there, there’s a ton of detail work to be done to reach that end goal.  Without it, it just has too much of a cardboard cutout feel that’s not going to engage players and hold their attention for long.

What this all means for now is that we are going to focus on core game development.  We’re going to pull the CT AI mission system and redevelop it for use by CM’s in scenarios and special events.  We’re working on new terrain upgrades in both the technology and the art used. (Done)  We want to implement a character animation system.  We want to bring back the old 8 player H2H but expand it both in the number of players and with additional gameplay capabilities.  There’s a lot of systems in the game engine that are dated and in need of overhaul.

In hindsight, this is how we should have approached it from the start.  This will keep us heading in the right direction while getting improvements out to our current players and speeding up our development.  It’s really a chance to reboot our process to get back to our old development cycle that saw things moving at a faster pace.

Well if they are able to implement (I hope they do) that. It would give me another reason as to try and come back to the game could be fun.

Edit: I would also love to see them bring H2H back.

Maybe mad isn't the word but how about aggrivated. The way I see it is HT is the one who can make all the wishes come true, so why would he feel the need to post his wishes. All he is doing is wishing to hisself so what other reason would he post them. Unless he was trying to make a point for ppl to stop posting for things that will never happen. Which I don't see why he would want them to stop wishing since it is a wish-list.

Have you considered hours in a day? Mine really is a real wish list, nothing posted of aggravation meant. But my wish are weighed against many other peoples needs and wishes cost and many others. So given an unlimited amount of time , yes I could make all my wishes come true, but I do not have unlimited time.

Sure you would. I could just see you sitting in-front of your monitor for 6 hours traveling at 6 knots underwater toward the region where people claim to have spotted a Task Group.
