Today I got it

Today I got the stutters. 

I realized yeterday I hadn't DL'd the hi res pack.  I did and installed it yesterday.  Today when I logged on I had the stutters.  I saw Pyro post that there was a new patch so I logged out and installed it.  Still had the stutters.  Then I logged out and renamed the hires folder.  Still had the stutters.  I saw WMLutes post asking about connection.  I opened mine and it remained a flat line and I still had the stutters.  My fames rates also dropped into the 35-45 range while stuttering from thier normal 59.

This is with a:

E6750 Conroe (2.66 Ghz overclocked to 3.2 Ghz)
4 Gb DDR2 800
8800 GTS 512 Mb
Soundblaster X-Fi Fataility Pro

Until today I hadn't had an issue or a slowdown except when soft shadows were enabled.

Bald, that sucks. I havn't dl'd the update yet, but will do so in a few min.  I have the same comp as you almost and had the high res pack installed w/o issue.  Will post if I start having problems with stuttering.




OK, Bald.  I just tested comp without turning anything off, in fact I turned on shadow, and ran around TT in a hurri, killed a pony, and ran around some more furballs with wirble tracers everywhere and never dropped below 59 and had no stutters.  I just can't post the film in photobucket.

I might have figured it out.  I upgraded video drivers yesterday.  I'll try rolling them back later tonight or tomorrow.

Haven't had a chance to roll back the drivers yet but I played last night and didn't have any issues again.
