I'm curious, how many people are in SAPP?

50, 100, more?

Scotch, to an extent, I agree.  When I flew the 38 a LOT I could really associate with S.A.P.P., but the longer I stayed the more it seemed like people were wanting to be a part of it for the wrong reasons.  S.A.P.P. is all about the P-38 and it's history and influence.  It's a group of guys where a discussion about the P-38 can never get old.  I think once S.A.P.P. begin to grow people began to join just so they could say they were part of a group.  I don't really know how to say it.  All I DO know is that the 80th and people like AKAK and Murdr are great guys full of knowledge and wit.  The guys that actually fly the 38 and nothing else.  Don't get me wrong, if I didn't mention your name don't go under the impression that I don't think highly of you.  I just used the above as an example.

SAPP is a VERY elitist group. The consortium of 12 will discuss your request and get back to you  :noid

Just to clarify that I'm not asking what SAPP is, just wondering how many people are in it these days.  I actually was a part of SAPP about a year and a half ago, but left it because I never liked the P-38's engines.

Our numbers are irrelevent, all that you need to know is that SAPP is everywhere.

Lets just say that when some folks started thinking SAPP meant anything but 38 stuff and fun, it was time to clean a bit of house, which was done.

It was never meant to be serious and still isn't.  Jeez all you need to do is look at the name and it should tell you lots :)

That being said it's a good bunch to share an interest in the 38 with.
