Just a few things that I think would make the arena better if HTC hasn't already implemented them.

1. New Airfields, basically just dirt strips with tent hangars for small ones. Not really sure how you could basetake, I'm guessing a troop truck or something of the sort that can be strafed?

2. Along the 3 lines (or 2, not sure how HTC wants to do it this time), there's trenches, and a "no mans land" (again, could work if there isn't any base taking) that the planes could fly and fight over, and they moved as the bases moved if there's base taking.

That's about it off the top of my head, tell me what you think.

Wasn't any real movement in Western front trench warfare, (after the initial flurry in 1914)... A little at the end too, but not much...
Trenches prevented that... I'm guessing, but this looks like it would be the perfect furball only arena!!!

okay, then eye candy, just trenches between the sides of bases. So it looks like WWI is happening below as you're fighting.

How about no base capture at all?  You might actually see air combat then.

You haven't lived until you try to cap a base by landing at it unscathed. Fun as anything. :)

Back in Warbirds before the Ju-52, the way to capture a base was to land on concrete after all the field objects were down.  It was SOP to slam down wheels up as fast as possible before any field objects popped.

I'm still hoping for no base capture in WW1.  The ground war in the west was nearly stagnant slaughter, as you probably know already.
