that's better than what it looks like in-game right? i got the hardware for full graphics at 1900x1080 and I still can't make it look that good.

Yes
I use Paint Shop Pro X2, for the top picture I did as follows:

Raised the RGB values by 15.
Applied "Vivid Filter".
10% "Cross Process".
Used the magic wand to highlight the background and applied 9% blur. I was going to do the same for the other two but the process takes forever!

All in all I didn't want to go to crazy, I just wanted to show off the plane/ground/water textures but make the colours a little more vibrant.
