No.  I admit that BiPoLaR directs his colorful criticism toward others quite often.  However, he is not purposely targeting new players as is being implied in this thread.  He does just the opposite, invariably it is someone that he knows and/or recognizes in game that he knows can take it and will laugh it off like your 6’-2” Texan buddy (or me) or some vet who is being a tard and deserves it.  What he does is not what is wrong with the game.  

What is wrong with the game is the prevailing attitude of “lack of fight” that is rampant in the arenas today.  As an example, just the other day I ran into a set of low buffs over a radar factory, I came in to set up an attack and he didn’t fire a shot.  I figured no problem, I am still pretty far out and he is in his bombsight and will start shooting when I get close enough and his eggs are out.   He dropped his bombs and at that point I was close in, he started shooting.  What happened next just boggles my mind. He pinged me twice then banked hard and swung back toward the factory.  I thought he was maneuvering his bombers for a better fight.  Nope.  He got back over the factory and started strafing the buildings with his guns and never fired another shot at me again.  He had just resigned to die and would rather shoot buildings.  Just one example among thousands of “what is wrong with the game”.

About Fester, my money is on that he wouldn’t run three sectors.  I am not fascinated with him enough to know his in-game practices.      

OK Batt, i understand your point of view and I still, respectfully, disagree with it. Regarding your last comment it seems funny that you are so fascinated by the in-game practices of every other player but not your squad founder. I think I have had enough of this discussion now.

I agree with mechanic and waystin. It's my belief that a little tease here and there is all great in the name of the game, but personal attacks are a completely different story. There's a group of pilots who make a culture out of being rude. Being rude to new players increases their likely hood of quitting therefore being detrimental to overall game play.

If you think a (insert age below 18 or 17 here) year old getting blasted with personal insults by a unemployed 30 year old is beneficial to overall game play, then with all due respect, your an idiot.

When I was starting out I was lucky enough not to know what channel 200 was. There was a great group of guys I would always wing with that taught me the ropes, one of them arguably the best stick in the game. This helped me become the great player I now am   I wish the same luck to all new sticks, and switch of 200 until you grow some confidence in your flying abilities.

i like the fact that the noob said he filmed his sortie. WTG dude thats how you learn by watching films of your fights. remember you can click on the bad guys plane and watch it from his view point.

I also enjoy speaking to my nme's on 200, most often it is to say "nice shot" or something along those lines.

Flying at 30k is a great way to save on fuel and its the only way to catch 'smart' bomber pilots (which I believe we will be seeing more of very soon). Probably though what these guys were intending to do was denied them because they didnt have complete knowledge of how to handle the airplane or how to fly together as a team or specifically how to fight 109K4s (which should have been attacked much lower not up high like that). However making fun of these guys for trying to learn and for experimenting with an airplane which (as you all know) is not as 'uber' as everyone claims and performs far below its ENY value... well you should refer to mechanics post.

Instead of neener-neenering why not take these guys under your wing and show them how its done? If its not worth your time then you are not worth the time. Good day.

If you read this thread the OP admits he is new to the game and from what he describes it sounds like he was trying to fly within his limitations (I would rather be in a 109k vs a p51 personally).  Grizz volunteered that they (note the plural here) chose to "critique" him openly on range.  If you don't find that over the top and wish to continue to defending their consistently abusive behavior then so be it....


Falc, you know I like ya and all,   but I think you are wrong on this one, this type of behavior has been going on since the beginning, and is not "hurting the game"  anywhere near the "horde" mentality that is so prevalent in the MA's, That is what hurts this game, it is the "flying style" of many in AH that hurt the game play, not the "smack talk".

I personally have no beef with you...yes you were embarrassing when you were a BoP.  A quick search of the forums will find you DEFENDING Bop tactics vehemently when you were one of us (for a few years right???)  When you were embarrassing was when you began posting about your ninja skillz and how you would be happy to show up at someone's house to fight them.  Do you remember that????  It was an easy transition for all of us when you elected to leave with no hard feelings.

That being said I DO like you and YOU do seek out tough fights and are a friendly worthy opponent.  I will give you a lot of credit that you and Mark may be the only two in that squad that actively fly in the manner you purport to.  YOU also keep the personal insults off ch 200 and for that I have respect for you and think YOU are good for the game in general.

I think you are in the wrong squad and I cringe when I see you defend behavior that I don't think you would stoop too...there are many respected furball squads out there (the Few, Flying Circus, Hells Angels etc)

I think the vast majority of MA players would beg to differ with you.  If you don't like "hordes", do what everyone else does and go pork their ords and troops--when they have no bombs or troops the hordes go away.   In case you haven't noticed, HTC has made taking bases and real estate part of the game.    

For those players, including those players and squads who hop sides all the time and think they are better than everyone else, there IS a HEAVEN...without hordes, without bomb****s, without base takers, where all the players who's poop doesn't stink can go to prove their uberness in all their self-importaint glory--it's called the DUELING ARENA.

Hey, you can do all that important building fighting in the dueling arena also.  It is even easier since you will not have any enemy planes flying around or that stupid ack firing at you.  Sooooo, see you there?  Along with all the other country loyal people, people whose poop does stink and don't think that they are better than anyone else?  I mean, leave the crapy MA to the furballers, country switchers, spys, planes fighting planes, wasted resources on mindless air to air  fighting etc.  Who needs that?  I ll see you all in the DA where we can fight buildings in peace and quiet.  Lets make this an organized event?
