Worldwide Aces High Players
« on: December 27, 2009, 12:08:12 AM »
Just curious about the number of Aces High players from each nation as of, say, December 2009.  I remember in the early days there seemed to be quite a few players from Japan, Australia, and Finland in addition to the United States.

Would be interesting to see whatever list is available without getting into any company sensitive information.

Although would prefer specific or rounded numbers and percentages, even something as general as Most from x, x, x; Some from x, x, x; and Few from x, x, x would be enlightening.

I'm sure Lushe has a pie chart of this somewhere. :)

I've seen a lot of Americans (of course), Brits, Aussies, Germany, Japan, Finland, France, Canada, South America, Mexico. I know there's a whole squadron of just Finland players. 1 of them posted a video of them in a sortie and you hear Finnish talk over the squad vox. Was really cool hearing another language other than English over the radio, plus I love how Finnish sounds  ;)

WM's have members in Italy, Canada and the Philippines.

If you count service men then add Japan,  Afghanistan, Iraq and  Korea.

Wasn't it in here that someone started a Google Earth map, where people could plot in their location? If not, then that could be a plan.

I'm one of the few Danes in here. Besides my brother, Teufel, I have only seen few others from Denmark in AH. At the moment I can't think of any other active (that I know of), but I can think of a few that used to play. StSanta, Danish, Greenbird.

Like mentioned there is a large Finnish community, and it isn't a single squadron, but more like 4-5, but they all use same vox channel when flying. Funny how a country's history can change people's computer interests. Denmark has a slightly larger population than Finland.
