Manual Bombing Method
« on: January 27, 2010, 07:16:52 AM »
Rolex held a bombing clinic last night that went into detail how to setup and execute a good run using the manual bombing method and crosswind.

Thread for the film is in help & training.

http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,282624.0.html

This is something I've seen a lot of requests for over the last year.
Also he has a lot of information about bomb sizes, damage, salvo and delay settings etc.

It's very easy to set this up for offline practice using the ahta_08 training arena map with air spawns in upper left part of the map.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

Kinda hard to practice with your squad offline.
Why can't we just open the sea arena with unlimited lives?
Disable base capture etc, what's the big deal?

I would not have a problem with that, but HTC never intended for the SEA (Special Events Arena) to be unattended. They made that clear to the CM group since its beginning.
That is, if players are flying they want a CM attending.
If no one is using the SEA they want things locked up.

It's just a drag to have a bombing method enabled that nobody can practice while online.

Let's face it, in todays a.d.d. world few have the discipline to practice this offline by themselves.

No biggee for me, I don't bomb much but it would be nice to get more squads up to speed on manual bombing and
having somewhere to practice with friends is the key.

Just wondering, is the AvA arena manual? If not maybe some helpful CM would be  willing to
CM once or twice a month with the proper FSO terrain and let some guys practice bombing.
Just a thought.

Love the FSO's.

It would be nice if the player could goto the DA and he himself opens a setting for either manual or auto aim.

Most the trainers would be happy to set the TA up for manual bombing.

In fact I eventially got it setup for Flifast last week so he could film for his squad.

If squads are interested in manual calibration bombing practice I might suggest a PM or request sent to anyone of the trainers and a time and date can be setup to make that practice possible.

I for 1 would be willing to adjust the settings in the TA at anytime, within reasons,to accommidate any squad based training.

Just let me know a time and date and I'll try my best tomake it happen.
