has anyone ever tryed to hook up an Xbox 360 controller to your computer to play Aces High? i think it could work, but idk
It's pretty tricky to get setup right, but totally do-able. I did that with my laptop so I could play Aces High "on the road" so to speak. The way I've got it setup is that the left stick controls elevator/roll, the left and right triggers control rudder, the left and right bumpers control primary and secondary guns, the right stick controls head movement (click in for zoom), the buttons on the right controlling throttle up/down and flaps up/down, and the directional pad... honestly... I don't remember what that controls right now. =)
Unforutnately haven't gotten to be able to play much lately, but the biggest tricks I remember are #1, having to download some 3rd party software to get all of the controls to work properly, #2, having to set the views with a KEYBOARD so when you look back you can see around the pilot's seat, and #3, gunnery is pretty difficult, but keeping an eye on your opponent is easier than standard jostick 8-way hat usage.
