another wasted headset
« on: April 08, 2010, 03:20:36 AM »
HiTech, can we please, please, please, please add the Ship Guns as a Sound that can be adjusted?

This is headset # 6 ruined and blown out by those ship guns.

And here on the BBC Light Service's Three-Way Family Favourites is a request from the gunners of H.M.S. Duke of York:

We've just sunk the Scharnhorst. Play something nice for us - and play it LOUD.

You know what you should do, record the sounds for the gunships and put it on your Ipod/Mp3

Then when you are driving you come up beside a bunch of teenagers with subwoofers in their car...look at them, tell them, "Give me a Sec" then play the recording....look back, smile, and nod.  :aok

Never have had that problem :headscratch: Have had two sets in 6 years or there abouts I dropped the first set & stepped on them & they still hung tough for a week or so after the fact. Purchased the same set at Walmart for about $35.00.

You do know that most headsets come with a volume knob right? Maybe you should be more worried about your eardrums then the headsets if you're playing with the volume that high.

make a new wave sound to replace it, that's what I did.

But I agree it's way too loud and if I turn down my volume I can't hear VOX. Potential health problem as is.

From the time I started playing AH I had the main vol. 100% and then adjusted down all the other sounds to desired levels.

What I did yest. was turn the main vol. down @ 20% and turned up all the other sounds @ 20%.

Helped a bit but even then was still a bit loud.

Still don't know why that is the ONLY sound we can't adjust.

Larry, when you're in the tower of a carrier that is shelling a base, the volume is probably a magnitude of 10 times louder than every other sound in the game.

There's a slider in the Voice settings that will lower game sounds while VOX is active. I keep mine set at about 1/4.
