Fallout 3, CoD series, MoH pacific assault, Company of Heroes, World in Conflict, the old C&C games, Sim City, the Mechwarrior Series, Civilization, and the Age of Empires series... i can think of others in time...
Edit: i'm not saying all of these will hook me with online play by the way...Some are even great offline

And they're all free to d/l and no monthly fee to play online?

No they all cost 40 - to 60$, some had extra DLC content that costs even more to get. (Fallout 3)

My question is 321, which of those are you currently playing every day? Or at a minimum of say 4 times a week?

And for how long?

You have to play that boxed game  for more than 4 months before its a better deal than AH at 15$ a month.
How many people actually do that?

Think before u compare u need to ask yourself if it is worth $15 a month.  If u get your money's worth , then it is.  True cost for me is closer to 100.  But I think it's worth it.  Sometimes frustrating as hell but....

Well I remember way back when............   I used to pay 25 cents for the 5 to 10 minute pleasure of Galaga.  55 seconds on a bad game once.  But you kids don't remember the 80's.....  It was a time when your parent's were taking acid and accidentally making you.........

Haha this is just cheeky, if the game was $1 a month some people would still ask for 50c a month human nature I guess? The monthly fee at the moment is hardly a huge price for the best and HTC isn't a huge faceless corporation making millions a year. Just really cheeky lol  :lol

You mistaking the era, it was the 60s and 70s that did the acid.  The 80s was pot and cocaine.

This has probably been asked many times. And I know I'm gonna get a lot of bad responses, but $15 bucks a month for just one game? It's a little extreme. $10 would be much more, you know, smart. $15 a month is more money than web hosting. And besides, it would probably get HiTech more customers. And don't whine that it would attract n00bs. Don't you remember when you were a n00b and couldn't even takeoff/roll correctly? And look at yourself now, you're level bombing bases in that Ar234 of yours by the minute. Just saying, $180 a year is a lot for a game. But, maybe, I might pay 15 bucks a month if you allowed Paypal and by the month payment (no auto renew). The sale depends on user preference. Just getting my idea out there.

~Guymed-

And no, I'm not a n00b anymore. I can level bomb, dogfight, dive bomb, fight in tanks and kill ships fine.

$15 dollars/mo is a fair price to me but I can see how it is just a little bit too much for some.  If HTC felt they would attract enough players to make it economically feasible to lower the price, don't you think they would?  Say they have 6000 active accounts right now.  If they lowered the price from $15 to $10 they'd be losing 6000*5 = 30,000/mo.  To make up that 30,000/mo they would need 30,000/10 >3000 players to sign up for the game.  I don't think the player base would increase by 33% by lowering the game's monthly price by $5 which is what would have to happen to make it a good idea.

-1 on poorly thought out idea.

I think the acid is clouding his memory, or was it the crack?  :headscratch:  Who knows, I wasn't there!
