Only from an overall weight side........   But as for damage modifiers, it would take some coding.

Kinda like when one of those load out guns gets taken out? :D

Neg sir......   From the standpoint of how much damage can the engine mount take before going poof.  I hear you on the weight issues, for sure.  Karnak, I believe, is making the point that the 6 pound Mossie had extra armor and an extra metal wireframe added for support of the recoil.  The weight is one thing, but increasing the damage ability of the engines may not be so simple..... Hence the need for a 2nd version!   :aok

If possible, the 57mm would make a great perk loadout.

I am not aware of any additional structural requirements for the 57mm.  The armor was added to protect the engines and crew on what was presumed to be a more aggressive ground attack role.  The original intent for these Mossies was anti-tank, but the ended up just being used by Coastal Command against u-boats and freighters.

We must use it for it's original intent..... just to prove the concept. :D

The 6lber gun the 57mm Mollins was based on got the first Tiger I kill in N. Africa.  Hidden in a bush, 100 yards, through the lower front glacis.

If the Tse Tse was added, the Il-2 would no longer be a tanker's worst fear.  In US tests they found the 57mm Mollins superior to the 75mm on the B-25H/G due to the Mollin's ability to be used while maneuvering.  Also, the Mollins carried all AP rounds.

It is possible that we'll see a bomber Mossie or two later this week in the manner we saw the Shermans last week.

I have no inside information.  I am merely suggesting it is possible.  B.IV would be nice for scenarios and B.XVI would be nice for the MA and scenarios.

The Tempest's stats don't indicate it needs any help in the performance department.   :P
