66 years to the day
« on: June 06, 2010, 02:54:58 AM »
3 million men, 5,000 ships, and 11,000 planes comprised the largest invasion force the world has ever known.   :salute to all those who gave their lives for the future of humanity on that day.

"It was once believed that an infinite number of monkeys, typing on an infinite number of keyboards, would eventually reproduce the works of Shakespeare. However, with the advent of Internet messageboards we now know this is not the case."

For most people the sky is the limit.  For a pilot the sky is home.

Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I absolutely can NOT believe that NO ONE is playing The Longest Day, Saving Private Ryan, or even Band of Brothers today. Even History Channel is running a marathon of that waste of airtime Ice Road Truckers instead of any sort of commemorative programming.

This is absolutely absurd.

Come and help commemorate with the event today at 3PM.
