Lol, yeah it happens, but not THAT often!

Just gettin a little sick of wasting 10 minutes+ climbing to an alltitude to be on a somewhat even fighting level with girls who are supposedly looking for a "fight". Only to have them run away at the sight of a co-alt enemy plane.

Imho, THAT is more of a disruption to actual combat than noes ever were.

I'd much rather be actually "fighting" with guys who are truely interested in fighting, not "scoring" kills then running home.

I know what ya mean man. Tomahawk had me so pissed off the other night I could have chewed nails. He just refused to engage me 1on1, but more more then willing to jump in there when I was busy with a couple others.I guess that's one reason his fighter rank was 50 at the time and mine is 550 at least. But hey I reckon it's his 15 bucks.
It kind of makes me happy that I know that he knows, if he'd come and play with me on even terms his fancy rank wouldn't be so fancy afterall :)
Lighten up Francis

I know I'm whining, but no more than the girls who've been whining forever about noes and a multitude of other things in this game.
Anybody got a tissue? :cry

I fluffluff'n hate that cowardly feces behavior too. All to often, people behave like that. Frankly, I don't get it, why pay 15 bucks if you don't wanna play? Then best is when you chase them to their base ack where they hide hoping to get a proxy kill from the ack. Its even more frustrating when its a halfway decent stick who decides to 'not play'. Maybe for some, the game is all about ego and winning. Win or loose, I just wanna play, if you don't want to play, fluff off, go take an undefended base or something, but don't wast the rest of our 15 bucks.

It's like if you had a soccer game and the other side said, "we suck and we know it, so instead of loosing and learning, I'm gonna go get 6 more of my buds and beat you with numbers & if I can't get 6 of my friends, I'm gonna run home and tell my friends and family we 'tied'" (even though this would violate the rules of the game).

To me the game is like a sport, its about the fight, if your trying to avoid the fight, your not playing your padding your ego and you deserve to get flamed on 200.

Ahh... another "I'm telling you how to play, only my way to play AH is the right one, my money is more important than yours"

I will raise a glass on you the next time I'll drag a La-7 until he's running out of fuel and filling CH200 with rants that only are a testament to his own dumbness.  :neener:

What keeps you & every one else coming back is the X factor. Most people don't even realise it. The X factor being I wonder what that other guy is going to do. If you want a space invader game with the same thing day in day out even if you won every time you would soon be bored of it.

The games strength is what am I going to have to deal with today & what is that guy going to do now. Hate it or love it. It will keep them coming back. :aok

What keeps me coming back is the good fights. As strange as it sounds, lets say I'm in a fight with 2 other cons and they are turning hard and trying to kill me. Then, someone comes down from 7k above and picks me, I see three things...
1) My SA failed me.. piss on me
2) I feel bad for the 2 guys who were playing with me, they 'deserved' the kill, aka the satisfaction for putting the effort in.
3) Shame on the guy who cleared his friendlies 12.

The issue here is the 'wrong' actions are encouraged. I don't see the people putting in the effort being rewarded, its backwards.
And I'm not talking about myself, I would much prefer it if the two people who were 'playing' with me to receive the credit.

As much as this got you upset what did you do next? I am guessing you got in a plane & went out to search for that fight again that is so elusive for you.

Even if you got the fight you wanted all the time it will eventually stale.

The human element of some one doing what ever it is that they do,lame or not is the games strength.

lol, I'm not upset, I just don't appreciate how the current structure isn't more 'sport' like. I was harsh because I felt it warranted it, its not a new issue at all, but its not addressed either. Furthermore, many members have kinda made 'clubs' if you want to call it that, where they play with each other, because them too are annoyed with the behavior of others.

I'll log on and da with ya if you do :)

any time bud, even if I don't get banned (fingers crossed).

Easy mode?  Thats funny!!

Let me guess--some guy screaming down into a fight in a 190 blazing away only to climb back to his perch afterwards said that?

These guys are a huge problem in the game and something needs to be done.

All they are doing is taking the easy route, the less combat the better.

In short, these guys are avoiding combat and need to be dealt with.

Hey I fight with my A8 (and dies alot)  :D

'Twas the RAF that named the Brewster the 'Buffalo Mk.I' when they bought the type and deployed it to the Far East during 1941. Far from a turn-fighter, it turned out to be an unreliable slow-climbing turkey when pitted against the IJAAF's Nates and Oscars over Malaya, Singapore and the Netherlands East Indies. Overweight, and with poor electrics due to tropical humidity and consequent condensation, it was a failure in that theatre. The F2A-3 version employed by the USN and USMC was even heavier, so same result when VMF-221 took on the Zeros at Midway.

The Finns bought the earlier, less-armoured version and ran up huge victory scores in conditions that were rather kinder to the Brewster: cool climate and poorly-trained and led Soviet opposition.

Shame the climate in AH is always perfect, eh?

When I was learning air warfare tactics, it was impressed on me that the crucial role of the fighter was to gain and hold local air superiority in order to enable the bombers/strike aircraft/recce to carry out their essential tasks with mininum interference and losses while denying the same freedom to the enemy. The objective wasn't to run up a high individual score at the expense of not carrying out the primary task - which is why the individual 'turn-'n'-burners' eventually gave way to formations of 'boom-'n'-zoomers', because air wars aren't won by flying in low, slow circles.

You pays your money and makes your choice in AH - long may it continue.
