went out on the connecticut river yesterday was just putting around as I have to run low rpms on the boat for 5 hours and just happened to see this guy floating on top

sombody let him swallow the hook and killed him, still down his throat.  too bad, this is the biggest walleye I have seen in that river

Unless the fisherman tugged and pulled at first trying to get the hook out, they did the right thing in leaving the hook in. In aquatic environments, hooks disintegrate in about a month and a half. Being so big, the fish could've been old and/or just been stressed, after all, it is summer, and high water temps often stress fish out tremendously. Could have also been a possibility that the fish was brought up from a deeper, colder part of the lake, and in doing so, ruptured its swim bladder. Any number of things. Always sad to see a nice fish die, though.

Can't tell if your girl is excited or terrified of the Walleye. Maybe both.  :lol

Thanks sir  :aok

Fishing this morning was crazy good (fished between 5am and 8am)....we had about 30+ kingfish, 9 of which were keepers, largest was 16" (thats a hefty Northern Kingfish)......were fishing hi/low rigs, and had quite a few double hookups.....was all out CRAZY!!!! Fluke tommorow, had to much fun catching the Kingfish today to try for fluke...........

My boy Jay was the leader today 5 keepers, daughter had 2 and i had 2. Daughter caught the big one.

Had a pod of dolphins playing about 50yards off the beach, they were having a blast, their grace and beauty was absolutely jaw dropping. Mother nature really made a beautiful creature when she made the dolphin, my hats off to her  :salute :aok  (In all honesty watching them play in the surf behind a beautiful sunrise got this old salts eyes a bit misty  :lol )

Ill make sure i snap some good pics tommorow, we were to busy reeling in fish today to grab the camera.

  :uhoh :bolt:

The region of KY I'll be noodling in has no water snakes that are poisonous. No venom sucking necessary...  :lol

Didn't get to go noodling today, but hopefully will by Wednesday.

My youngest son a few years ago. He grew up on a lake and learned to fish at a very young age.
