Just an update on my friends in the Atlantic Highlands NJ area...... My pics (the striper photos) of the boat i was on a few weeks ago that i posted here, this is the boat i was on..... He pulled the boat out of the water for Sandy
Pre Sandy on the hard
After Sandy decimated the marina his boat was in...............I love how he described the photo
After Sandy and the storm surge (excerpt from his description)
"....she looks like she was the last boat to float being the last boat on the pile. Lots of gel coat work to be done....props and rudders are about 1/4 inch into the blacktop and only things supporting the boat so maybe some shaft issues as well...wont know the stbd side and bottom.damage until she is blocked back up again.
Looks like she fought like hell to stay put ....but tired out in the late rounds"
Never in the world would you ever meet a greater person than Carl.....Beyond the fact that hes a great person, he is by far the best Charter Capt out there, absolutely busts his but to put people on the fish. Id put him up against any Capt out there. Keep him and our other brother fishermen in your prayers.
One thing ive learned thru this whole mess, is that fishermen are a breed apart, I belong to a forum for guys that fish the Jersey coast, and in all the posts that were posted after the hurricane, its people that have next to nothing, or damages to their homes, property, boats, livelyhoods, reaching out to help others on the forum in the same or worse predicaments, without a thought to their own problems........It taught me that wearing the title Angler or Fisherman is a heck of an honor
