What is the fish with the spots?  We have some that look like that around here, but they are suckers.  WTG on the fishing partner!

The fish I know of that have spots:
Bowfin
Brown Trout
rainbow trout
Crappie (depends)
Walleye and sauger have blotches
Pike and pickerel both have spotty looks.

Take your pick. Although in Oklahoma, I'd say you could narrow it to Bowfin, browns, and crappie. Just my opinion, though.

I'm not sure if you were talking to me, but the last fish pictured (and with spots, I suppose) is a Northern Pike.  Up where we do the charters (Plattsburgh), they are common.  Down by my house, they are more of the "$20 win on a $2 scratch-off lotto ticket"...  Just uncommon enough to surprise you and make your day, but not so uncommon that you'll never see them :)

I found where the crappie was hiding today . Going in a few hour's before the sun come's up . Should limit out . Got to love those Bandit crank bait's . I have over 100 of them and all they would hit was the ones with red on them .

Finally got my boat in the water this last weekend.  :x

Went out Father's Day for the first time and after totally wadding up the cable on one of my downriggers and my bimini top giving me fits we were actually able to catch some fish.   Got a couple King salmon, but mostly was able to dial in the Lake Trout bite.  I'm  the guy in the first pic with the last Laker of the day and a buddy from work (not quite as nice as Vudak's fishing partner  :) )is in the second picture with the best King of the day.  Pictures aren't the best, was getting tossed around a bit.

Just my second year at trying for salmon so had a couple firsts that day.  Was my first lake trout and also got one Lake trout on a wire dipsey setup using a spin doctor combo, never got a fish all last year on that setup.  Although last year I was using braid instead of wire and supposedly the wire is suppose to be more successful.  But what do I know, learning every day out there.   :)

I'd like to share a couple of pics from this spring that I'm proud of. The first is my boys 1st saltwater catch ever. A croaker caught in the Ware River in Va. where I grew up as a boy. And the 2nd pic is my sons biggest bass to date, which was caught on fathers day....especially cool for me.

I caught this one a couple weeks ago. This was the biggest cat I've pulled out of this lake...  although there was that one that got away before I took a picture   :noid  :bolt:

That is all.

Helluva fight, I would've probably used 60lb braid, but dang, you showed us who has kahones! Kinda like me using 8lb crappie mono for a 40" musky... Good times. Sometimes it ain't fun using what makes it easy.  :aok
